LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has launched the Maryam Nawaz Eidi Scheme to support low-income residents ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The program provides eligible citizens with Rs5,000 financial aid, which they can use to cover their festive season household costs. Officials say the scheme aims to help families purchase food, clothing, and essential household items before Eid.
The program targets residents across Punjab who meet the eligibility criteria. According to the government guidelines, applicants must be residents of Punjab.
The system will send applicants an SMS notification after their application has been verified, and their Rs5,000 payment will be sent to their bank account.
The authorities advised citizens to complete registration through official platforms only while avoiding unofficial sources because this practice helps maintain scheme transparency and security.
