Huge rise in house rent & allowances for judges approved

ISLAMABAD: The federal government of Pakistan on Thursday increased the house rent and judicial allowances for Supreme Court and High Court judges.

According to the notification issued by the Law and Justice Department after the approval of the Acting President, the house rent for Supreme Court judges has been increased from 68 thousand rupees to 350 million rupees, while judicial allowances have been increased from 0.428 million rupees to 1 lakh rupees. has gone 168 million.

The federal government has also increased the perks and privileges of High Court judges.

The rent of the High Court judges’ house has been increased from Rs.65 thousand to Rs.35 lakh. Similarly, the judicial allowance of High Court judges will be increased from Rs 0.342 million to Rs 1.90 million.
