RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has decided to write a letter to Army Chief General Asim Munir regarding the country’s situation.

During an interaction with journalists in Adiala Jail today, the former prime minister said he is considering writing a letter to COAS over the country’s deteriorating situation amid political and economic crises.

ABN News anchorperson Alina Shigri quoting sources said that Imran Khan authored a six-point letter to COAS Gen Asim Munir, accusing him of his arrest last May and humiliation among other things.

Sources privy to the development said Khan wrote that all the responsibility for the current situation of the country goes to one person. In a letter, the PTI founder also quoted the Business Council saying that the country’s capital is going out of the country.

Shigri quoting sources within PTI mentioned that the letter written to the army chief would come to the public after some time.

Moreover, the founder PTI said the fourth case of ToshaKhana is going to be tried against him.

In a conversation with media after the £190m scandal reference hearing, Khan said villages in Pakistan lack private sector universities. However, Al-Qadir Trust University was built on barren land, which provides free education to the local students.

Showing ire regarding Nawaz Sharif’s acquittal, he said Sharif bought a bullet-proof car from Tosha Khana for 6 lakh rupees. Asif Zardari took three vehicles from ToshaKhana and is seeking immunity from the court, Khan said.

“Hasaan Sharif sold property worth 18 billion rupees, no one is talking about it.”

Keeping the £190m deal secret was a demand from property tycoons and the National Crime Agency as if the case was tried in the civil court, the money couldn’t come to Pakistan for another five years.

“Pakistan has already lost 100 million dollars in various cases in foreign courts.” He said the money was seized due to suspicious transactions, not due to money laundering in the UK.

Furthermore, he added, that he would not go out of the country like Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. They have palaces abroad and they also have to do shopping there, he said.

Stressing the Feb 8 elections, Khan said the government will have to be formed according to the public mandate without which the country cannot run. The country’s tax collection is 13.3 trillion and we had to pay 9.3 trillion as interest on loans, he said.
