LAHORE: The Judicial Magistrate Cantt summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  (PTI) founder Imran Khan in person on July 22 in the case of an attack on Islamabad police outside his house, and the court also issued a summons.

Judicial Magistrate Cantt Sohail Rafique said in an order addressed to the Superintendent Camp Jail that the PTI founder should be produced in person by July 22 in the case of an attack on Islamabad police outside the house of the PTI founder in Lahore.

It should be remembered that the Islamabad Police has registered a case against the PTI founder at the Race Course Police Station, Lahore.

The court has ordered the PTI founder, who is imprisoned in Adiala Jail, to be produced in person for the prosecution of the case and has also issued a summons along with the summons order.

Earlier, jailed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan wants his party’s anti-government protests to “peak” on August 5 – the day he completes two years in jail, his sister Aleema Khan said on Tuesday.

The jailed PTI’s patron-in-chief had directed that the party launch an anti-government movement after Muharram 10, Aleema cited her orders last week.

“Muharram 10 has passed […] the party will now announce its strategy,” Aleema told reporters at the Gorakhpur check post after meeting the former prime minister at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail along with Noorin Niazi and Uzma Khan.

The PTI founder will lead the protests from jail, she claimed, and launched a barrage of criticism against the party leadership, quoting Khan as saying that he is free in jail while he is imprisoned outside.

“Our family is aware of the protest plan; however, they have remained silent about the details of the upcoming demonstration,” Aleema said. She added that she would brief the media about the plan at the appropriate time.
