India-Pakistan ceasefire paves way for long-term Kashmir talks, Says Trump

WASHINGTON DC: In a recent development, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, praised Pakistan and India for accepting the Full and immediate ceasefire agreement.

In a post published on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Donald Trump stated that He is proud of the strong and powerful leadership of Pakistan and India for having the wisdom to understand and accept the ceasefire.

He stated that ‘I am very proud of the strong and unwaveringly powerful leadership of India and Pakistan for having the strength, wisdom, and fortitude to fully know and understand that it was time to stop the current aggression that could have lead to to the death and destruction of so many, and so much”.

Additionally, Trump highlighted the potential loss both nations could have faced if Pakistan and India continued their distinctive operations.

In his post, he stated that ”Millions of good and innocent people could have died! Your legacy is greatly enhanced by your brave actions. I am proud that the USA was able to help you arrive at this historic and heroic decision.”

Moreover, in a positive move, Trump said to increase trade with both nations, but most importantly the President Donald Trump assured to provide help in resolving the long-standing Kashmir issue, with a  possible long-term Kashmir talks.

In his tweet, Donald stated ”While not even discussed, I am going to increase trade substantially with both of these great Nations. Additionally, I will work with you both to see if, after a “thousand years,” a solution can be arrived at concerning Kashmir. God bless the leadership of India and Pakistan on a job well done!!!

The ceasefire agreement is expected to bring much-needed relief to the citizens of both nations. Both nations are set to resume talks on May 12, 2025.
