Info Minister denies India’s claim of Ceasefire violation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has refuted India’s allegations that Pakistan violated the ceasefire.

“There is no question of Pakistan violating the ceasefire,” Tarar reportedly emphasized in a recent statement.

Additionally, he criticized the press briefing given by the Indian officials, saying their arguments were unconvincing. Their position was not supported by the voices of the Indian officials.

According to Tarar, the Indian Military Spokesperson and Secretary of Foreign Affairs were unable to communicate effectively.

“Pakistan’s successful counteraction has left the Indian media stunned,” Tarar continued. He charged India with making unfounded accusations all the time. He pointed out that “India has a history of making false claims without supporting evidence.”

The Information Minister concluded by saying that Pakistan had earned more respect abroad as a result of its forceful response to India’s aggression.

He promised that Pakistan would not be intimidated by unfounded accusations and that its actions were consistent with defending its sovereignty.

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif had earlier praised Pakistan’s military for responding appropriately to India’s provocation during Operation Bunyan Marsoos.

Addressing the nation, the Minister Shehbaz started with a Quranic verse from Surah Al-Saff (61:4) and said that India attempted to impose war on Pakistan, using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext.

“Our brave and valiant forces delivered a resounding response, bringing the enemy to its knees.”

Prime Minister extended congratulations to the proud and dignified people of Pakistan, saying that the world has been made aware that Pakistan is a sovereign and honorable nation.

Soon after United States President Donald Trump made the announcement, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also confirmed the development.

“Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” FM Ishaq Dar wrote on social media platform X.
