ISLAMABAD: Another case of nepotism was exposed in Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV), a state-run national television, as the PMLN-led government hired party-biased anchorpersons in PTV News.

According to PTV sources, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar approved Beenish Saleem, considered to be PML-N’s favorite for an 8’o clock primetime program.

Moreover, sources privy to the development told ABN News/Daily Ausaf that a Lahore-based journo Rizwan Rizvi alias Razi Dada, a journalist close to CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz, has also been given a talk show on PTV News. Former Geo News reporter Amin Hafeez will also be a part of Rizwan Rizvi’s program.

Sources within PTV told ABN News that Information Minister Atta Tarr has decided to close more than 10 programs on PTV after self-examination and announced some important changes. Claiming it as a revolutionary measure, the two new programs were given to Beenish Saleem and Rizwan Rizvi, who are considered close to the the ruling party.
