Interior Ministry takes action after key file goes missing

ISLAMABAD (Zubair Kasuri): The Ministry of Interior has taken action against a section officer in connection with the tragic Greece boat accident in 2023, which resulted in the deaths of over 207 Pakistanis.

Ministry sources told Daily Ausaf that Section Officer Seep Jan has been suspended and ordered to immediately report to the Establishment Division for losing the investigation file and important letters related to the incident.

Furthermore, departmental proceedings have been initiated against Assistant Clerk Basit.

Sources within the Interior Ministry said that further investigations are underway to determine the reasons for the delay in the inquiry report concerning the Greece boat tragedy.
