ISLAMABAD: The man accused of sexually assaulting the daughter of a civil servant at Islamabad Club has been forgiven by the victim’s family.

Family sources indicate that the decision to pardon the assailant was influenced by influential individuals in high offices in Islamabad, who intervened to resolve the situation.

The accused, a man of notable influence, avoided legal consequences after the victim’s family agreed to pardon him. Sources reveal that top officials played a key role in facilitating the resolution between the parties.

During the discussions, the accused, along with his father and other elders, issued an unconditional apology, which the family accepted.

The case, which has generated significant public outrage, has been under intense scrutiny. According to reports, several high-ranking officials visited the victim’s family, leading to the eventual agreement.

Earlier, a prominent personality in Pakistan was accused of sexually assaulting the daughter of a civil servant during a dinner party at Islamabad Club. The accused man used inappropriate language toward an 18-year-old girl, after which the victim’s mother reported the incident.

Previously, three new sexual assault cases have emerged at Islamabad Club. Despite perpetrators being found guilty, these powerful individuals appear to have evaded justice, raising serious concerns about accountability.

Among those accused are two recently retired federal secretaries and a retired military officer, all implicated in separate incidents of sexual assault at the Club.

The Club administration’s investigation has uncovered a troubling pattern of harassment and assault, with officials acknowledging the perpetrators’ blatant misconduct.
