ISLAMABAD: The citizens of the federal capital witnessed light sunlight in the morning after which the weather remained pleasant with light chilling winds blowing in the city. However, the temperatures are set to drop below freezing point during the night providing cooler nights in the federal capital.
The maximum temperature recorded today ranges up to 17 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature expected in the evening will range up to 8 degrees Celsius.
The humidity level in the federal capital ranges between 38 to 40% with light wind blowing in the northwest direction at the speed of 3 km/h. Whereas, the chance of precipitation is up to 0% today.
According to the Met Office, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country while it will be very cold and partly cloudy in the upper areas. However, light rain/light snowfall is likely at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjacent hilly areas. Fog is expected to prevail in the plain areas of Punjab, upper Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the night.
