ISLAMABAD: The Excise Department has launched a crackdown on vehicles with tinted windows and unregistered vehicles in Islamabad under a new enforcement campaign and imposed heavy fines, here on Wednesday.
As per the details, the department informed that fines for vehicles with tinted windows will range from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 while unregistered vehicles will face fines starting from Rs 15,000. The initiative aims to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
The enforcement drive will target all areas of the capital, with a special focus on high-traffic areas, officials said.
The campaign is part of a wider effort to improve road enforcement and address issues related to vehicle registration and modification.
Motorists are being urged to abide by the rules and remove any illegal tint from their vehicles.
The Excise Department has stressed that the purpose of the fine is not only punitive but also to promote safer driving conditions for road users.
