Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri suspended from judicial work

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri was suspended from judicial work on Tuesday.

Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri has been ordered to be suspended from working as a judge until the Supreme Judicial Council decision.

The Islamabad High Court has sought the Attorney General’s assistance in determining whether the petition is admissible.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Azam Khan conducted the hearing.

The division bench issued a written order for today’s hearing on Mian Dawood’s petition.

The Islamabad High Court has appointed senior lawyers Barrister Zafarullah Khan and Ashtar Ali Ausaf as judicial assistants.
