Karachi mosque Imam shot dead in Orangi town

KARACHI: In a shocking turn of events, a  50-year-old mosque Imam, Sherzada, was fatally shot in Orangi Town, Karachi, on Monday.

Rescue officials said that the murder took place during Sehri’s time after he was shot once in the head while he was on the way to lead prayers at a mosque named Altaf Nagar.

According to the reports, Sherzada was a resident of Banaras Pathan Colony. The police recovered the mobile phone of the victim from the murder scene.

Although the investigation for this murder is still ongoing, but the police officers are considering it as target killing.

Investigators are trying to get in touch with Sherzada‘s family to get more information about the victim. The police are also trying to figure out what Sherzada was doing at the murder scene.

The victims body has been sent to a local hospital for further procedures. The police are investigating the case to learn the motive behind the killing.
