KARACHI: Karachi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for motorists ahead of Independence Day celebrations and the “Marka-e-Haq” event to be held at the National Bank Stadium this evening.
According to the advisory, the event will begin at 6 pm, with heavy traffic congestion expected from 5 pm on all roads leading to the venue.
Authorities have warned that traffic delays may continue until 2 pm and have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel between the Civic Centre and the National Stadium during this time.
The “Marka-e-Haq” event is being held under the theme announced by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal last month, which highlighted the country’s resilience, progress and national pride after the April-May military clash with India.
