LAHORE: Renowned fashion designer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Khadija Shah was granted bail on Thursday following her involvement in the May 9 mayhem. The release follows a 6-day remand, during which authorities found insufficient evidence to substantiate the accusations against her.

Khadija Shah, who had been in police remand due to her alleged role in the May 9 incidents, was initially transferred from Lahore to Quetta on transit remand on December 12.

Anticipated to appear in the Anti-Terrorism Court after the completion of her remand, Khadija Shah was instead granted bail by the police. The case against her pertained to allegations of arson and vandalism at Jinnah House in Lahore.
