Shehbaz criticizes PHC verdict over PTI election symbol

KARACHI: In a press conference held in Karachi, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif criticized the recent verdict of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) regarding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) election symbol ‘bat.’ Expressing his discontent, the former prime minister questioned the jurisdiction of the PHC in making decisions on matters concerning the entire country.

Shehbaz Sharif specifically pointed to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) ruling on PTI’s intra-party elections, emphasizing that the decision was grounded in facts.
