KP lifts hiring & transfer ban for govt employees

ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has lifted the ban on appointments, transfers and recruitments of government employees.

This ban was imposed when the cabinet was not formed in the province. However, now after the formation of the cabinet, the Chief Minister has issued orders to lift this ban in all departments.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, transfers of officers of grade 17 and above can now be made with the approval of the concerned administrative secretary, minister, advisor or special assistant.

The Chief Minister has clearly instructed that the ban on recruitments has also been lifted and all recruitments should be made completely on the basis of merit.

According to the same statement, Grade 20 senior police officer Muhammad Ali Gandapur has been appointed Additional IG Elite Force Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Muhammad Hussain has been appointed DIG Crime and Investigation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Chief Minister has directed all departments to ensure strict implementation of these orders.
