LAHORE: The roof of the doctors’ hostel of King Edward Medical University collapsed, damaging dozens of vehicles, here on Monday.
According to initial reports, part of the dilapidated roof of the doctors’ hostel of EMU on Hall Road collapsed last night, damaging dozens of parked vehicles. Fortunately, no loss of life or property has been reported.
The inmates say that the authorities were informed about the dilapidated condition of the hostel two months ago but no positive response was given.
They accused the administration of not taking proper steps, which ultimately caused the doctors to lose lakhs of rupees. They demanded immediate repair of the dilapidated hostel building and compensation of damages.
