Mahmood Khan Achakzai notified as NA Opposition leader

ISLAMABAD: The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has notified Mahmood Khan Achakzai as the new opposition leader in the lower house.

Earlier, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq announced the start of the process for the appointment of the opposition leader.

The Speaker said that after the provision of relevant documents, the process of appointing the opposition leader has now started.

The Speaker of the National Assembly read out the procedure for appointing the opposition leader in the house.

Mahmood Khan Achakzai was elected as a Member of the National Assembly from Qila Abdullah Chaman, National Assembly constituency NA-266.

He is the head of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and is also the head of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Aien Pakistan, while the PTI has also given all the powers to Mahmood Khan Achakzai for negotiations with the government.
