Ministry of Religious Affairs issues new guidelines for Hajj pilgrim 2025

ISAMABAD: In a recent development, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a new circular to investigate in detail about the pilgrims who have opt for expensive Hajj packages under the private Hajj 2025 scheme.

According to the notification, pilgrims opting for a package that costs more than Rs3 million, will undergo a thorough investigation, including security clearance.

Pilgrims name will be submitted to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for scrutiny of  their assets and tax records. It will also be vetted by security agencies for criminal and other records. Pilgrim may commence the pilgrimage Hajj 2025 only when cleared by the relevant authorities.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs will keep a close watch on companies offering these expensive Hajj packages; companies shall submit information on the said packages for ministry approval.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the entire process, Mohammad Hakeem Khattak has been appointed as the focal person for the job. The purpose is to render the entire experience Hajj 2025 transparent and secure for expensive package seekers.

In related news, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has consented to the compulsory training for intended pilgrims under the government Hajj 2025 scheme. Training will take place at 147 venues across the country, with the first session in Peshawar starting tomorrow.

Pilgrims being trained will have attendance marked through the QR code in the Pak Haj mobile app, while overseas Pakistanis will be briefed by their respective Haji Camps a few days before beginning their journey to Hajj. The first phase of this compulsory training will come to an end on the 27th of next month.
