ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has completed arranging mandatory training sessions for pilgrims participating in the Government Hajj programme 2025 which will take place at 147 centres throughout the country, each commencing tomorrow in Peshawar.
To facilitate monitoring attendance, pilgrims will utilize QR codes through the Pak Haj mobile application. Simultaneously, training will be given to overseas Pakistanis at designated Haji camps before their embarkation on pilgrimage.
The first phase of mandatory training is expected to wrap up by February 27. The announcement follows the signing of the annual Hajj 2025 agreement on 13 January between Pakistan’s Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, allowing 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims down for Hajj this year.
Furthermore, the agreement ensures additional facilities, such as affordable accommodations in Mina for the Pakistani pilgrims. In addition, Saudi Arabia has introduced a new version of the Nusuk portal to improve Hajj and Umrah services for visitors.
