Nawaz Sharif concludes six-day visit to China, reaches Pakistan

Nawaz Sharif's Saudi visit postponed due to health issues

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif reached Lahore, Pakistan, after concluding his week-long visit to China, a private news channel reported on Tuesday.

According to the details, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was in China for six days, where he held meetings with heads of Chinese companies in connection with investment opportunities in Pakistan, especially in Punjab province.

Nawaz Sharif held a special meeting with a close personality associated with Chinese President Xi Jinping, where he insisted on investment in Pakistan.

As per reports, following Nawaz’s visit to China, foreign minister Ishaq Dar is expected to visit China soon.

It is to be noted here that this was the first international visit of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif since he came back to Pakistan in 2023 after ending four years of self-imposed exile in London.

In November 2019, a high court granted permission for Nawaz Sharif to travel overseas for medical reasons, following reports from his doctors indicating that he required immediate attention.
