New school timings announced in Punjab: Check latest update here

LAHORE: Summer vacations in schools across Punjab, including the provincial capital Lahore, are set to end next week, and the government has announced new school timings from August 15, 2024.

The Department of School Education Punjab has announced the new school timings starting from August 15 when schools will resume after the summer vacation.

Summer vacation in Punjab schools will end on August 14 and classes will resume on August 15.

New School Timings in Lahore

Days School Timings
Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

According to the notification, schools operating in morning shift will operate from 8am to 1:30pm from Monday to Thursday while classes will end at 12pm on Fridays.

For double shifts and afternoon shifts, the morning session will be from 8am to 12pm, the afternoon session from 1pm to 5:30 pm, and the evening shift from 2pm to 5:30pm on Fridays.

Schools Timings for Teachers

It also stated that teachers in regular schools will work from 8 am to 3 pm on weekdays and from 8 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays.

In double-shift schools, teachers will be scheduled from 8 am to 2 pm for the morning shift and 1 pm to 7 pm for the evening shift on weekdays.
