RAWALPINDI: The Director General of ISPR, while initiating an important press conference on the current situation in Pakistan and Afghanistan, revealed that the hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij were effectively targeted on the Pak-Afghan border on the night of February 21 and 22.

He said that this operation was carried out based on solid intelligence information. The recent attacks have made it clear which forces are behind the terrorist elements.

He said that we have proven through undeniable evidence that these operations are not the work of just a few miscreants but are being carried out under systematic support.

He further said that the Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq some time ago. The briefing aimed to provide complete awareness of the strategy, goals, and achievements of the operation.

He said that the national leadership is being taken into confidence at every stage and the state institutions are working in complete coordination.

During the press conference, it was also said that the Afghan Taliban regime is sponsoring elements involved in spreading terrorism in Pakistan. On the night of February 21 and 22, the hideouts of Fitna and Khawarij were targeted in the border areas near Bagh, as a result of which the terrorists suffered heavy losses.

The DG categorically said that Pakistan will not compromise on the security of its territory and citizens. Any elements that try to spread unrest in the country will be given a strong and decisive response. He reiterated the resolve that the armed forces will defend national security at all costs.

A huge response was also seen on social media after this press conference; a large number of citizens are sharing messages in favor of the Pakistani forces and expressing solidarity for the defense of the homeland. The nation is once again seen standing by its forces.
