OKara man sentenced to 14 years in child molestation case

OKARA: A man sentenced to 14 years in prison and fined Rs1 million for child molestation in Renala Khurd Tehsil of Okara.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge Renala Khurd Shabrez Akhtar Raja ruled that the criminal, Waseem, will have to serve another 6 months in prison in case of non-payment of the fine.

The Sadar Renala Police had arrested the accused on charges of luring an 11-year-old child to an orchard and raped him in March 2022.

On this decision of the court, DPO Okara Rashid Hidayat appreciated and congratulated the performance of the legal team.

He said that the Okara Police will continue to take strict legal action against such criminals so that the protection of innocent children can be ensured.
