RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 9 terrorists in two separate operations in North Waziristan district on January 11, 2025, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), here on Sunday.
The ISPR revealed that the first operation was carried out in the general area of Dosali based on intelligence inputs where the presence of terrorists was reported.
During the operation, the troops successfully targeted the hideout of the militants. Six Khawarij were killed during the engagement, while two were arrested.
The second operation was carried out in Isham area of North Waziristan district based on intelligence.
After a fierce exchange of fire, three Khawarij were neutralized, while two others were injured.
The ISPR said that arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were active in several terrorist attacks against security forces and targeted killings of innocent civilians.
“Clean-up operations are underway to clear the area of any remaining Khawarij, as Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country,” the statement added.
