Pakistan Consulate closed 4 days for Easter Holidays

Melbourne: Four consecutive days of holidays have been announced from April 3 to 6. The Consulate General of Pakistan Melbourne has announced holidays on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 6 (Easter Monday).

In addition to these two-day holidays, Saturday and Sunday (April 4 and 5) will be weekly holidays, so the consulate will remain closed for four consecutive days. Apart from this, Pakistani embassies in other countries where Easter holidays have been announced will also remain closed. Meanwhile, the Punjab Police has finalized comprehensive security arrangements across the province ahead of Good Friday and Easter to ensure that the Christian community can celebrate their religious rituals in a peaceful environment.

Inspector General of Punjab Police Abdul Karim confirmed that complete security will be provided for the celebrations. According to officials, more than 30,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed across the province.

IG Punjab has directed that sensitive churches be provided with additional security with snipers, commandos and complete identity verification of all attendees. Police and community volunteers have been directed to remain vigilant and keep a close eye on suspicious activities, people and objects.
