ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of three special trains on the occasion of Eid al-Adha to facilitate passengers traveling across the country.
According to details, each special train will consist of 7 to 8 coaches to manage the increased passenger rush during the festive period.
The first special train will operate from Quetta to Karachi on May 23.
The second train will run from Karachi to Rawalpindi via Multan, Faisalabad and Sargodha on May 24.
The third special Eid train will depart from Karachi to Lahore on May 25.
Officials said the initiative aims to provide better travel facilities and ease congestion on regular train services during Eid holidays.
However, reports suggest that for the first time, Peshawar has not been included in the Eid special train schedule, as no service has been announced from Karachi, Lahore or Quetta to Peshawar this year.
Pakistan Railways said further arrangements may be considered depending on passenger demand and operational capacity.
