Pakistan to observe Palestine Solidarity Day on October 7

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday met a delegation led by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Jamaat-e-Islami Emeer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman at the Prime Minister House.

In the meeting, the political parties decided to express solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinians at the national level. Also, they agreed to observe “Palestine Solidarity Day” nationwide on October 7 against the atrocities committed by Israel on innocent Palestinian men, women and children.

On October 7, nationwide gatherings and seminars will be organized to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and protest against Israeli aggression. It was agreed in the meeting.

The participants of the meeting vowed to raise their voices against the ongoing persecution of innocent people in Gaza and Palestine and to support their Palestinian brothers and sisters.

It was also decided to call an all-party conference hosted by the Prime Minister to discuss the matter.

In the meeting, it was also approved to form a committee to organize Palestine Solidarity Day and All Parties Conference.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Sherry Rehman, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Nair Bukhari will be included in the committee.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the All Parties Conference.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly supported the celebration of Kashmir Solidarity Day while condemning the ongoing persecution of innocent Muslims in Palestine and Gaza.

In the meeting, Jamaat-e-Islami’s stand for expressing solidarity with the innocent Palestinians in Gaza and Palestine was also appreciated.
