Pakistan to witness Blood Moon for first time in history

ISLAMABAD:  A Blood Moon can be seen in Pakistan for the first time in the country’s history, said the Meteorological Department on Thursday.

There will be a total lunar eclipse on the evening of September 7-8, 2025. It will start at 8:28 pm on September 7, and the partial lunar eclipse will start at 9:27 pm on September 7.

It will culminate at 11:12 pm, and the partial lunar eclipse will continue until 12:57 pm. The total lunar eclipse will continue until 1:55 am on September 8.

The lunar eclipse will last 5 hours and 27 minutes. The lunar eclipse will be seen all over the world, including Pakistan.

The moon will become red due to the eclipse and will be referred to as a Blood Moon. The lunar eclipse will be seen in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, the Pacific Ocean.
