Islamabad to get first ever modern adventure park
ISLAMABAD: Following the announcement of a holiday on August 13, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has imposed a two-month prohibition on drones and cam-copters within the aerial limits of the federal capital under section 144.
According to the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner (DC), the ban on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is made due to security threats. However, he clarified that law enforcement agencies and the district administration do not fall under the ban.
The district administration also announced that the following parks (Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh, Pakistan Monument, and Shakarparian) will remain closed for the 13 August holiday.
The general public will not be permitted to use the parks because of the Independence Day celebrations beginning in the capital on the following day (Wednesday).
The administration has also ordered all hiking trails at Margalla Hills to be closed on Wednesday.
As detailed in the notification promulgated by the DC Islamabad, “Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5 & Trail behind Saidpur Village shall remain closed on 13th August, 2025 (Wednesday) for the General Public in the Federal Capital.”
