ISLAMABAD: The foreign missions of Pakistan have stopped their passport processing services until they receive further instructions because the Islamabad headquarters is experiencing technical difficulties.
Official notices from overseas missions state this information. The foreign missions will continue to suspend passport operations until authorities announce service resumption through their official social media channels.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi had already notified the Pakistani community in the United Arab Emirates that passport processing services would remain suspended because of technical and maintenance requirements.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat confirmed that passport operations in Oman have been suspended because of technical difficulties that affect Passport Headquarters operations in Islamabad.
The two missions announced that they would resume services after the problem was corrected, while they apologized to applicants for the trouble they caused.
