The announcement came during the National Assembly Standing Committee on Aviation meeting, chaired by MNA Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Babar, at Islamabad International Airport on Monday.

The new aircraft will include wide-body Boeing 777 planes and will primarily cater to long-haul routes. This is expected to improve the capabilities of this airline in serving its customers.

One of the big highlights from the CEO’s announcement is the recommencement of PIA flights operations to Europe after a four-year hiatus. The airline is set to start operating direct flights to Paris starting January 10, with two flights weekly at commencement.

This is a major milestone for PIA, thus expected to boost the international operations of the airlines. Moreover, the carrier struck a deal with Air France, providing greater connectively for passengers to other European destinations. This is expected to enhance the convenient traveling experience for PIA passengers and provide them with options in traveling to Europe.

The CEO also spoke about committee members’ concerns regarding the quality of onboard meals. He assured them of vast improvements that have already been made to improve food quality on flights. This really augurs well for passengers as an airline that maximizes service commits itself to improve upon such facilities.

Besides these improvements, the CEO mentioned that PIA is set to start operating flights between Karachi and Sukkur beginning Wednesday on a daily basis.

This would help connect the two cities much better and give the traveling public more options. However, on the other hand, the Motorway’s rise has decreased the demand for domestic air travel, presenting the airline with a challenge it needs to overcome.

The addition of new aircraft and the resumption of flights to Europe, along with the partnership with Air France, are all positive developments that will enhance the growth of the airline and provide better services to its passengers.

As the carrier moves on to implement these plans, it will likely confront a long line of challenges that it needs to address; however, with a commitment to improving its services PIA seems capable of overcoming such hurdles and achieving its mission.

In conclusion, the announcements made by PIA’s CEO reflect the airline’s commitment to acting for better services and operation expansion. While the introduction of new aircraft, the resumption of European flights, and a partnership with Air France are positive steps towards PIA’s recovery, other challenges will have to be tackled while keeping its spirit high.

As this plan is being executed, some hurdles will be faced by the airline, but with its commitment to become better, PIA is sure to face the hurdles it comes across and move toward success.
