ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on unarmed civilians in the Johan area of Kalat, Balochistan.

According to the press statement issued by PM Office Press Wing, Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep sorrow and courage to the families who lost their loved ones in the attack.

As a result of the incident, many precious lives were lost, and the prime minister conveyed his sorrow to the grieving families. He made dua for the elevation of ranks of the deceased and for the bravery of the families to endure the loss.

The prime minister has ordered that the best treatment be extended to the victims of the incident who are injured. He has also given strict orders for the prevention of such incidents carrying out immediate punitive action against the perpetrators of the attack, a press statement added.

PM Shehbaz has declared that his government shall remain focused on the development and prosperity of Balochistan as she was bold enough to withstand such cowardly attacks.

The prime minister reiterated that whatever evil design the enemies of Pakistan may hatch, they will not be able to afford them any respite and that the fight against militancy would continue until it is eliminated from the nooks and crannies of this country.

This is because there has been an upsurge of terrorist activities in Pakistan in the previous year especially in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Recent incidents include a suicide blast at a railway station in Quetta on November 9 which left at least 26 people dead and 62 others hurt.

Another bombing in the city of Quetta on a police car on September 26 was also reported injuring two police officers and a dozen civilians. Following these developments, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has restricted mobile internet services in some parts of Balochistan to avoid any public unrest.
