BEIJING: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold an important meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang today.
Bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and further promotion of partnership in various sectors will be discussed in the meeting.
In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also meet Chinese Minister of Information Technology and Industry Li Licheng, in which the possibilities of increasing cooperation in the information technology and industrial sectors will be discussed.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also chair the second edition of the Pak-China Business-to-Business Investment Conference in Beijing today.
This conference will review the results of the first edition, chaired by the Prime Minister in Shenzhen in June 2024 and will set a roadmap for joint investment and business projects for the future.
This visit of Shehbaz Sharif is being described as very important for further strengthening economic and trade relations between Pakistan and China.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday decided to further promote bilateral relationship and cooperation between both countries in various areas.
Before their meeting, conducted in Beijing, China, and aired on the national TV channels, the prime minister commended the leadership of President Putin for making genuine efforts to enhance bilateral relations with Pakistan.
He noted that following their Astana meeting during the SCO Summit, they had committed to closely cooperating to strengthen the bilateral cooperation.
He was sure that both countries would make additional efforts to enhance the bilateral relationships and cooperation, especially in trade and commerce.
