LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that the PML-N got a historic victory in the by-elections.
She said that we thank Allah Almighty for the victory in the by-elections, the people of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa decided in favor of the PML-N.
She said that the PML-N should win back the seats it lost in 2024, the victory in the by-elections is welcome for Punjab and the people, the Punjab Chief Minister said that Nawaz Sharif was removed from the government in 2017.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that elections are won not by narrative but by performance, while developing in 2018, the country was derailed, she said that yesterday was not an election but a referendum.
Maryam Nawaz said that Nawaz Sharif and I spent time in jail but did not boycott the elections, there can be no better narrative than performance, boycott happens only when you are sure that you will lose the elections.
He said that during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, CPEC was being formed and the country was developing, after losing it is being said that we boycotted, we contested the elections even in the worst conditions.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that where have the claims of fame gone now? Nawaz Sharif and I were in jail, even then they had to close RTS.
Maryam Nawaz said that the PML-N also faced a very difficult time, Nawaz Sharif and I were in jail in 2018, they said that standing before the state is not an easy task.
She said that the results of these elections were decided before the elections, today neither that Faiz Hameed nor the judges who used to support him are there, they said that then Faiz Hameed’s full power was with PTI.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa come to Punjab for treatment, during the PTI’s tenure, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa went into the stone age.
He said that PTI contested the election in the name of prisoner number 804 and lost, and their claims of popularity were shattered in the by-election.
