PPP forms 10-member parliamentary board for AJK elections

ISLAMABAD (Rizwan Abbasi): The Pakistan Peoples Party has announced the formation of a 10-member parliamentary board for the upcoming Azad Kashmir General Elections 2026 to finalize party tickets and oversee election preparations.

According to a notification issued by the party, the parliamentary board includes Faryal Talpur, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, and Chaudhry Latif Akbar.

Other members of the board include Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan, Mian Abdul Waheed, Sardar Qamar uz Zaman, and Sardar Tanveer Ilyas.

The party has also included Chaudhry Pervez Ashraf and Chaudhry Riaz on the board.

The notification regarding the formation of the parliamentary board was issued by the Chairman’s Secretariat and formally released by the Chairman’s Political Secretary, Jamil Soomro.

According to sources, the board will review applications of aspiring candidates and approve party tickets for the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Political observers are describing the move as a significant step by the ruling party to strengthen its preparations ahead of the 2026 elections.
