MATIARI: Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman, the spiritual leader of the Sarwari Jamaat and a Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir to address the escalating issue of dacoits in Sindh.

Speaking at an Independence Day event in Matiari, Zaman expressed frustration with the increasing dominance of “dacoit raj” in upper Sindh, where he claimed free movement has become nearly impossible.

He criticized the Sindh government’s inability to tackle the rise in criminal activities and urged General Munir to intervene directly.

Moreover, Zaman appealed to the COAS to visit Sindh to address the dacoit problem, asserting that the provincial authorities were ineffective in resolving the crisis.

He praised the sacrifices of the armed forces for national stability and noted that despite the PPP’s efforts, the people of Matiari felt neglected.

In addition, the law and order situation in Sindh, particularly in the Katcha area, has deteriorated, with dacoits frequently kidnapping individuals for ransom and the police struggling to maintain control.
