PPP submits No-Confidence Motion against AJK PM Anwar ul Haq

MUZAFFARABAD: A no-confidence motion has been submitted against Azad Kashmir Prime Minister, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, by the Pakistan Peoples Party.

The 30-month parliamentary journey of the People’s Party and the PML-N with Anwarul Haq comes to an end.

Faisal Rathore will be the fourth Prime Minister to be elected in Azad Kashmir within four years.

The no-confidence motion has been submitted to the Special Secretary.

Members of the Assembly Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, Javed Ayub, Malik Zafar submitted to Senior Special Secretary Amjad Abbasi in the Legislative Assembly

Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq is likely to resign before the voting on the no-confidence motion.

The total number of members in the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly is 53.The People’s Party has the support of 36 members of the assembly for the no-confidence motion.

The initial number of members of the People’s Party in the Azad Kashmir Assembly was 17.A total of 10 members of the Barrister Sultan Group and the Forward Bloc have now joined the People’s Party

The Muslim League-N has also decided to vote for the People’s Party. The PML-N has 9 members with it in the Legislative Assembly.

After the alliance of the People’s Party and the PML-N, 36 members are in support of the no-confidence motion.
