RAWALPINDI: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while participating in the Christmas celebrations, extended his best wishes to the Christian community.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the Christmas celebrations in Christ Church, Rawalpindi.
The ISPR stated that the Army Chief celebrated this joyous occasion with the Christian community. The Field Marshal extended his heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community and expressed his best wishes for peace, harmony and prosperity.
According to the ISPR, the Field Marshal paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and highlighted the vision of equality, freedom, and religious tolerance of the founder of Pakistan.

According to the ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir spoke to the participants of the Christmas celebration and appreciated the services of Pakistani Christians in national development and security.
He also stressed the importance of interfaith harmony, mutual respect and unity.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Pakistan’s strength lies in equal opportunities and constitutional values, which are above religion, race, caste, and creed.
According to the ISPR, the Field Marshal reiterated the strong commitment of the Pakistan Armed Forces to protect the dignity, security, and equal rights of citizens.
The ISPR said that the leaders of the Christian community thanked the Field Marshal for his visit and appreciated the role of the army in defending the homeland, religious harmony and national unity.
