ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat was diagnosed with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), he confirmed on Thursday.
Taing on X, formerly known as Twitter, PTI parliamentarian confirmed the disease, saying that after initial tests it was revealed that he is infected with Covid-19.
Sher Afzal Marwat further requested prayers for his speedy recovery, adding that coronavirus is in the less lethal stage.
“My temperature is very high and my body is aching. I am admitted to the hospital and I request you all to pray for my speedy recovery. Doctors say that the pandemic Covid is now less deadly,” he wrote on X.
According to the party sources, Marwat has informed PTI leadership about his COVID-19 diagnosis and possible quarantine for a few days, taking a break from political activities.
