ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sanam Javed in connection with alleged propaganda spread during Operation Banyanun Marsus.

A formal summons notice has been issued to Sanam Javed, directing her to appear before the agency on the 21st of this month.

According to officials, the agency is currently investigating 20 social media activists, including Javed, for spreading controversial content related to the military operation.

The investigation is aimed at identifying the origin and intent behind the online campaign, which officials claim may have sought to mislead the public and undermine national security efforts. Further action will be decided based on the findings of the inquiry.
