LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has announced relief for 200 units of electricity consumers, here on Friday.

As per the latest initiative, the provincial government will provide free solar panels based on electricity consumption.
The government has come up with the Green Energy Plan as electricity bills are touching an all-time high after the new tariff slabs came into effect on July 1.
The Punjab government will distribute free solar panels to consumers consuming 200 units, besides providing interest-free loans to consumers consuming 200 to 500 units and more than 500 units. The government will also contribute 75% in providing interest-free loans.
In an event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the increase in electricity bills is very painful and she understands the pain of the victims. Maryam Nawaz said that the government will make every effort to provide relief to the people.
Registration for the Punjab Solar Panel Scheme has started. Once registered, you will be notified via SMS within a few days whether you are eligible for a solar panel. If eligible, the solar system will be delivered to your home.
