LAHORE: The provincial government of Punjab has announced a special financial assistance package for poor families during Ramadan.
Under this initiative, three million families across the province will get Rs 10,000 each.
According to sources, the Price Control and Commodities Management Punjab has submitted a summary for releasing funds. This year, instead of organizing a Ramadan bazaar, the government has decided to provide direct financial assistance to the deserving people so that they can buy essential items according to their needs.
According to official documents, the financial assistance will be delivered directly to the recipients at their doorsteps to ensure convenience and ease. The Punjab government’s initiative aims to provide much-needed relief to low-income families during the holy month of Ramadan.
