Punjab govt shares latest updates for students seeking driving license

Lahore: Punjab Traffic Police has launched a massive crackdown against motorists driving without license in Lahore and other cities of the province.

While now a large number of people have reached out to traffic centers to apply for driving licenses.

As people look for some relief, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, shared a new update for senior citizens and students.

According to the minister’s order, senior citizens will be able to get their driving licenses from the comfort of their homes, while students will be able to avail of this facility at their colleges or universities.

In a similar development, Naqvi inaugurated the Islamabad Traffic Police Mobile Facilitation and Education Service in Islamabad, introducing three mobile traffic vans to assist citizens in renewing licenses.

The new license issuing points will educate citizens, especially in educational institutions and on the streets.

During the ceremony, he also announced plans to provide at-home driving license services to senior citizens and ensure that students can obtain licenses at educational institutions, including colleges and universities.
