MIANWALI: Punjab Police foiled a terrorist attack by Fitna-al Khawarij on the Qabul Khel check post in Mianwali on Sunday night, police said in a statement.

According to the police spokesperson, 12 to 14 Khawarji armed with rocket launchers and hand grenades stormed Qabul Khel police checkpoint in the middle of the night.

However, police officers on duty responded with intense gunfire, forcing the terrorists to flee. The attackers managed to escape the area under police control.
