Quetta Jail Deputy Superintendent killed in gunfight

QUETTA: Police confirmed that Quetta Jail Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Qasim was killed in a gunfight on Jail Road in Quetta, Balochistan, here on Tuesday.

Unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle, killing him on the spot.

Police said Qasim’s body has been shifted to a hospital. The assailants fled the scene after the attack.

Police have cordoned off the area and are searching for the culprits.
