Rawalpindi court approves bail in woman’s hair-cutting case

RAWALPINDI: The court approved the post-arrest bail application of accused Anis  Durrani and Jalil Khan.

The court ordered the accused to submit bonds of Rs 50,000 each.

Accused Anis Khan alias Durrani and Jalil Khan were sent to jail on judicial remand yesterday.

Judicial Magistrate Sofia Malik approved the post-arrest bail application of the accused.

A case was registered against the accused at Naseerabad police station on November 25.

A video of the accused cutting a girl’s hair on TikTok went viral on social media.

Additionally, The police stated that the two men were arrested on December 1 in connection with the case registered on November 25 for cutting hairs of Emman Fatima, torturing her, videotaping the incident and making it viral on social media. The police said that they first obtained two day physical remand of the accused on December 2 and then one day more on December 4. The police did not seek further custody of the accused.
