Relief package worth crores approved for affected areas

Ramadan Relief: KP Govt to distribute Rs12,500 to 1 Million families

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has announced a major relief package for the victims of North Waziristan and Khost and released financial assistance worth crores of rupees.

According to officials, a total of 17,788 affected families will be provided with assistance. Under which each family will be given Rs 12,120 in cash per month. Along with this, food ration worth Rs 8,000 will also be provided.

The letter states that Rs 718.635,200 has been allocated for the arrears of July and August 2025. So that the difficulties of the affected families can be reduced.

According to officials, the distribution of relief funds will be done through mobile SIMs. So that transparency can be ensured and the money reaches the beneficiaries directly.

PDMA has directed the concerned institutions to complete the process of distributing relief funds as soon as possible. While the undistributed amount and service charges will have to be returned within 60 days.

All the concerned authorities have also been instructed to provide complete details of records and audits to the authority.
