LAHORE: The Punjab government has fixed the tandoori roti price at Rs15 after reducing it by Re 1 but tandoor owners are allowed to sell naan at Rs25 following the increasing price by Rs5.

On Monday, Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin did not mention fixing naan prices. But he has persuaded the Naan Roti Association to sell naan and roti throughout Punjab in accordance with official government notifications. An official statement stated that the historic moment was archived following fruitful discussions with the association leaders.

The group met with Food Minister Bilal Yasin, accompanied by Aftab Gul, President of the United Naan Roti Association. In front of Secretary of Food Muazzam Iqbal Sipra, Director of Food Punjab Shoaib Khan Jadoon, and representatives of the United Naan Roti Association, the Naan-Roti Association pledged to sell rotis at Rs15 throughout Punjab after concluding successful negotiations with the Food Minister.

According to Food Minister Bilal Yasin, the goal of lowering flour prices for the average person has been accomplished, with a notable decrease in flour prices over the past month. According to him, the Naan Roti Association had to make sure that the government-issued notice about the selling of Naan and Roti was followed at all tandoors throughout Punjab.
